Jakub is an experienced and devoted music pedagogue, teaching students of all ages. He especially enjoys working with beginners to introduce them to the world of imagination and the beauty of sound. Jakub also takes pride in assisting students to prepare for ABRSM Exams, high school entrance exams like: La Guardia, piano performance competitions, such as the Young Pianist Competition NJ, Steinway Junior Piano Competition, World Online Music Organisation.
Jakub’s teaching method often incorporates creativity & interaction with students, such as music games, videos, piano preparations, and compositions that speak to students’ skill level and character. He also designs exercises focused on analyzing master pieces from music history, and improving students’ knowledge of music theory.
Jakub is certified NYS music teacher. He has been teaching at the New York Conservatory of Music since 2015. Subject of teaching includes: piano, guitar, chamber music, counterpoint, instrumentation, score reading, ear training, and composition. He has been named a Steinway & Sons music educator since 2015.

Jakub has been highly instrumental in teaching both my young daughters how to play piano. My older one in particular has become very passionate about playing ever since he became her teacher. She practices constantly on her own without prompting and can now do some complex pieces because of his teaching. He is truly a professional musician and clearly loves his craft and loves teaching it. He has been extremely flexible especially during Covid times by teaching remotely but still diligently. He is skilled at helping you with technique and sight reading, aided by explaining the purpose and intention of a composer's music, and he selects pieces that well suit your preferences as well as skill level.
